Hi I’m Ian Daffern, producer of the IdFactory.

We’re a documentary production company that creates original content for publishers, broadcasters or digital agencies looking to create the maximum excitement and awareness of their story online.

Our experience is in writing and producing  commercials and documentary content for broadcast, the web and even interactive installations. The services we offer include complete concept development, story production, script-writing and full-post-production, from editing to motion-graphics. We’re here to create stories that make you feel, capture the essence of the thing, and get the word out to those who want to know.

Whether its through comedy,  compelling interviews, or thrills and suspense, our goal is always to use the power of story to connect people, inspire wonder and to broaden their point of view. Past  clients include Random House Canada, Allard Johnson Communications, Simon & Schuster and Open Book: Toronto, The Toronto Standard, and the United Church Observer.

Current projects include the ongoing Made in Toronto documentary series that appears on the Toronto Standard which recently won Gold at the Canadian Online Publishing Awards for 2011.
