This is the focus of Idfactory – a documentary production company based in Toronto. Our focus is making beautiful films built on a foundation of powerful storytelling.
Our latest film is A Bullet Pulling Thread – an award winning documentary about a quilter who channels her grief and pursues justice through her art after the RCMP killed her activist brother in Lytton, BC. A Bullet Pulling Thread is coming to broadcasters in Canada in 2024, and will also be available for educational screenings through McIntyre Media.

Our work covers everything from digital series to VR concepts. Idfactory also provides consulting services, creating treatments, writing grants and digital marketing for companies whom include Tortuga Films, Embreate and True Perspective VR. Our creative lead is Ian Daffern – a writer, development producer and director with twenty years experience in film and television.
